The private pool suite stood out.

During my July 2026 site visit, I toured a guest room, a Palm View Suite and a private pool suite. The private pool suite was the standout: its terrace and pool offered the sense of space I would want to explore with someone planning a milestone celebration.

That does not make it the right choice for every stay. The useful conversation is about how you would spend your time, the view you would enjoy and whether private outdoor space is important enough to prioritise.

Dining is a major strength.

The visit ended with lunch at Ariana’s Persian Kitchen, where the team guided us thoughtfully through the menu. On a previous visit to Gastronomy, the consistency across a very broad selection impressed me. These are the kinds of dining experiences I would discuss when shaping a food-focused stay.

Who I would recommend it to.

I see The Royal as a strong conversation for couples celebrating, guests who care about dining and those looking for a refined resort experience. My impression comes from a site visit and separate dining experiences, rather than an overnight stay.

A different brief: a family holiday.

My July 2026 site visit to Atlantis The Palm suggested a different kind of trip, with family activities and entertainment playing a larger role. The Imperial Club arrival experience stood out, and I would discuss reserving children’s club sessions ahead of busy periods. We would confirm current access, inclusions and booking arrangements before choosing either property.

Based on my own stay or visit, as noted above. I will check current facilities, inclusions and booking terms when we discuss your dates.
